The “No Connection” message in MT4 or MT5 usually indicates a network connection issue or interference from firewall or antivirus software. You can check your connection to Ultima Markets servers and refresh the server list to identify the possible cause.
Common Causes
The “No Connection” error may occur due to:
- Network connection problems.
- Firewall or antivirus software blocking the MT4/MT5 platform.
How to Check Your Connection
Before troubleshooting MT4/MT5, confirm that you can access other websites normally. If your internet connection is working, check the connection between your trading platform and Ultima Markets servers.
- Open MT4 or MT5.
- Click “No Connection” in the lower-right corner.
- For MT4, select “Rescan Servers”.
For MT5, select “Network Rescan”. - Check the Ping value, which shows the connection response time between your platform and the server.
- A ping value of around 100 milliseconds (ms) is generally considered normal.
Check Your Firewall or Antivirus Software
If your internet connection is working but MT4/MT5 still shows “No Connection”, your firewall or antivirus software may be blocking the platform.
Make sure that MT4/MT5 is added to the exclusion or allowed list in your firewall or antivirus software.
