A performance fee is the share of your profit that goes to the signal provider you are copying.
The Rate
The fee is set by each signal provider. The rate is shown on the provider's profile before you follow them.
It applies only to profit generated by trades that provider copied to your account. It does not apply to your balance, your deposits, or to trades you placed yourself.
How PMF is calculated?
PMF is calculated using the High Water Mark (HWM) method.
HWM calculates the highest profit a portfolio has reached. PMF is only charged when the current max profit exceeds its previous max profit, protecting followers from being charged fees on recovery from losses.
- PMF will generate if the max profit > Previous max profit
- PMF will not generate if max profit < Previous max profit
When It Is Deducted
- PMF is calculated at the end of each settlement period. Payments are issued within 1–2 working days after the settlement is completed.
- Daily settlement: Settled at 00:00 every day for the previous day.
- Weekly settlement: Settled at 00:00 every Saturday for the period from the previous Saturday to Friday.
- Monthly settlement: Settled on the 1st of each month for the previous month.
- PMF is shown as a separate entry in your account history.
Important Conditions
- You cannot negotiate the rate. It is set by the provider.
- A provider can change their rate. The change applies to new followers from the date it takes effect. Existing followers will continue to be charged at the rate applicable when they subscribed until the end of the current settlement period. The new rate will take effect from the beginning of the next settlement period.
- Unsubscribing does not cancel a fee already earned. Fees on profit realised before you stopped following are payable at the next settlement.
- It is separated from trading costs. You pay spread, commission and swap on copied positions as normal, and the performance fee in addition.
- Withdrawing from open profitable positions. If the follower has generated a profit, the system will reserve a portion of the profit as a Performance Fee. The exact amount will depend on the applicable Performance Fee percentage and the Follower’s profit at that time.
